JUST RIGHT! from Kwilty Pleasures

I know its March and this post is about Christmas.
RIGHT?
Really though, its a  post about something important. 
 Friendship, UFOs and QUILTS!

This Modern Tree Block quilt has given me grief for a couple years.
NOT because it was hard to make blocks, but because
I couldn't decide the RIGHT way for me, to set the blocks.

For two years these blocks went up and came down
from my design wall several times.
Last November, I decided on this layout.


You ask me, why then? RIGHT?
Because, Shirley, my BFF of 60+ years had been battling breast cancer ...

2019 MYSTERIOUS SEWING from Kwilty Pleasures

Sew here's the MYSTERY!

Leigh Morgan was the coordinator for the Columbus Modern Quilters
2019 Mystery Quilt Challenge
Every other month we received a CLUE or directions
 to make a part of the Mystery Quilt.

Clue 1 was to pick fabrics
I decided to pull from my stash and used 4 tones in each color way!
Clue 2 was to cut the fabrics
I made an index card that showed the colors and their labels.
This makes it easy to figure out what goes where
when sewing pieces together.

2019 FINISHES from Kwilty Pleasures

2019 was a good year for my creativity.
I made a lot of fun things.
This post is about my sewing projects.

The year began with a trip to the beach with 
3 Kathys.  I made the other 2 Kathys
sun glass cases and card/key fobs






I finished a couple drawstring bags
that were started at GlampStitchalot in 2018
This camel was supposed to be an oval wall hanging or hoop.
I thought it would be cute as a knitting bag.


The ugly sweater block...also became a drawstring bag.
I gifted this one.

2019 MYSTERY QUILT CHALLENGE from Kwilty Pleasures

Columbus Modern Quilters revealed their 
2019 Mystery Quilts at our Holiday Party! 

The results were amazing.
The mystery designer and pattern remains a mystery. 
The challenge coordinator, Leigh Morgan,
is using the same designer for the 2020 MQ Challenge.
